We are going to crown a King and Queen of the Mother Road!
Basically, the man and woman with the lowest cumulative time after running all three editions of the Mother Road 100 will be crowned the King and Queen of the Mother Road. There are currently 38 entries that qualify (having completed the first two editions). So, here is how it stands right now:
For the title of King, John Shepard is in first place (with a total time of 38:34:38), Richard Smith is 0:34:11 behind him and Rene Villalobos is 1:07:21 behind.
For the title of Queen, ,Juli Aistars is leading (with a total time of 46:29:10) with Lynne Werner 0:15:23 back and Janis Anderson in third but only 0:24:15 back.
All 6 of these individuals are registered for edition 3 so we have a race within the race. Of course, anything can happen, so the rest of you two timers should not lose heart.
We also have a great award for each person who completes all three editions (Mav really put his thinking cap on for this one), so it is shaping up to be a great close out to what has been a very fun series.
